Social Worker, Sleep Therapist & Insomnia Coach
Hey there! I’m Tony, the voice behind “Why Can’t I Sleep?” After years of helping clients break free from the grip of insomnia, I created this podcast to bring those same conversations to you.
As a social worker and sleep therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how our relationship with sleep can become complicated, frustrating, and even frightening. My approach combines evidence-based sleep science with the healing power of self-compassion – because beating yourself up about not sleeping only makes things worse.
Whether you’re staring at the ceiling at 3 AM or caught in a cycle of sleep anxiety, I’m here to help you make peace with your pillow again. No judgment, no quick fixes – just honest conversation and practical tools you can use tonight.
New episodes drop every Monday morning – perfect timing to apply new strategies throughout your week. Each episode runs about 35-45 minutes – long enough to dive deep but short enough to fit into your commute or workout. I’m also planning to release 10-minute “Sleep Bites” twice a month for quick, actionable tips.
Yes! While the podcast provides tons of free information, I work with a limited number of individual clients for personalized insomnia coaching. I also offer my “Gently to Sleep” online coaching program that walks you through my complete method at your own pace.
While I discuss various sleep conditions, this podcast focuses primarily on insomnia, sleep anxiety, and developing healthier sleep habits. If you suspect a medical sleep disorder like sleep apnea or narcolepsy, please talk with your healthcare provider. That said, many listeners with medical sleep conditions still find value in our discussions about the emotional side of sleep struggles.
What makes this podcast different? I believe:
